SOMETHING TO TOUCH!
QCWA Parkhurst, Ridgelands, and Yeppoon members and friends of the Parkhurst Patchwork Group have made and distributed Tactile Aprons (also known as Fiddle Mats) to the Rockhampton Base hospital and local Nursing Homes. They have distributed 14, 10 ready to go with further orders received.
Aprons or small quilts which have lots of interesting things to fiddle with have had a calming influence on stressed patients.

'NOT ONE MORE'
'NOT ONE MORE' is the title of this beautiful quilt. It was made in 2010 for the Domestic Violence (DV) Conference in Canberra. Each state had a quilt on display.
Ladies from Moggill designed and made the quilt which features hand painted roses and colours chosen by DV Connect. It hangs every year at Kangaroo Point Cliffs for the candlelight vigil during DV week in May in the hope that NOT ONE MORE life will be lost to domestic violence.
